My journey to where I am now -

Creativeness has always been my passion and one dreary January back in 2021, I took the plunge from nothing to something I dived into the world of abstract painting and haven't looked back. Paintbrushes and acrylic paint sets.

I was one of three children it always felt as if I was the only one as my siblings were a lot older. I was born in the sixties where life was hard but good as to having the freedom to roam and play not like today. I attended the local Infant/Junior School in the village of Writtle near Chelmsford I had basic education at a Secondary School in Chelmsford finding academics quite difficult not knowing at the time that I had dyslexia and was dyscalculia too. Finishing my academics at school I went to College in Colchester 1975, and became a Nursery Nurse working when qualified at Black Notley Hospital 1977, for over twenty years working in the Children's day Nursery and with Special Needs children.

 In those early days I was always painting murals on the walls or drawing and getting involved with projects for the children's activities it was my form of meditation.

In July 1986, I married and had two children a boy and girl.

When Black Notley hospital closed in 1998, I took up a position  in a local Infants School in Chelmsford working as a teaching  assistant and still having the occasional  painting time. I also attended Writtle College where I signed up to take a course in Interior Design.

The year 2000, as a family we moved to Canada for my husbands work .This really opened my life to a different way of living and also meeting so many cultures. I lived in Canada for nine years and came back

to the United Kingdom in 2009, where I have since made my life I went back to Writtle College where I took a course in Floristry for four years and have my own art studio where I paint from. I have had some paintings that have been exhibited in the local Museum and also in the local pop up hub in Chelmsford. paint brushes
